British Columbia & Yukon
Welcome to British Columbia and Yukon — a journey where the distances are long, the landscapes feel endless, and the adventure becomes real.
From remote highways and glacier-fed lakes to true wilderness where you might not see anyone for hours, this isn’t just a trip — it’s an expedition into the wild north.
If you’re ready for long drives, raw nature, and unforgettable moments far from civilization — this is it 🚗❄️
From Banff to Vancouver Island
What do you get when you mix mountains, oceans, and three slightly overpacked backpacks? A 12-day road trip from Banff to Vancouver Island and back, spiced up with rainstorms, tide pools, free bikes, and way too many snacks. We chased peaks, laughed through the mud, and ended the adventure with northern lights dancing over Banff. Tired legs, full hearts, zero regrets.
Canada, AB - Yoho & Kootenay NP
When you give yourself four days and a car, the Canadian Rockies are more than ready to put on a show. Yoho and Kootenay National Parks welcomed us with thundering waterfalls, quiet alpine lakes, sudden snow flurries, and the kind of silence that makes you forget your inbox exists. We slept in the car, hiked until our legs hurt, dodged storms, and even fenced off our vehicle from porcupines (true story). Here’s how four days of wild weather turned into some of our most memorable adventures.
Canada, AB - Waterton
We finally settled down a bit in Banff, found a second job and started enjoying Canada. We have set the same days off at work, so every free day with nice weather we hike somewhere (we don’t have a car yet, so we choose hikes accessible by bus or bike). Our shifts for the beginning of August have changed somewhat and we have 5 days off in row so we wanna go on some real adventure. We are going to Waterton.
Canada as it is, without rose-colored glasses
A big dream is coming true … and immediately after returning from Tenerife and Madeira, we deal with the last outstanding issues, saying goodbye and packing for Canada.
Fortunately, we managed everything well, we didn’t forget anything, and thanks to the time difference, we are in Canada on January 24, 2024 a shortly before 5 PM.
